Many old Poles: Catholics and Orthodox still believed that Jews kidnapped and murdered Christian children in order to use their blood as a part of their religious rituals during Jewish holidays. Historically, these claims– alongside those of well poisoning– have been a major theme of the persecution of Jews in Europe.
