With only a tiny percentage of girls in sub-Saharan Africa making it to college–or even knowing someone who has–this film is about seven ordinary girls who did make it to college will introduce new inspiring possibilities to girls throughout Africa. The women of the film, like other ordinary girls, endured cultural barriers, civil war, loss of family, and other life challenges. They are now helping people of their countries come out of poverty, achieve food security, and generally improve their lives.
